He was head for 30 years, of the Section of Mechanical Metrology at The National Metrology Institute of Mexico (CENAM). Under his leadership, CENAM established the Liquid Flow National Measurement Standard and the Gas Flow National Measurement Standard. These two standards have played up to now an important role for flow reference measurement standards in the country.

Now a days, he works as consultant in different fields of mechanical metrology.
